Principle Terms and conditions
By placing an order with The CV Clinic (“we/us/our”), you, the Client (“you/your”) agree to accept our Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice, and your continued use of our services following any change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check the Terms & Conditions of Use regularly for changes. If you do not agree with any change to the Terms & Conditions of Use you must immediately stop using our services. Your statutory rights are not affected by any of our terms, conditions or policies.
Privacy Statement / Data Protection Act Registration
The CV Clinic is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. The only information we collect about you is the information you supply to us when you complete any of our questionnaires or forms (online and offline). We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, for example freelance consultants. Such companies and individuals will have access to personal information needed to perform these functions, but may not use it for any other purposes and are required to process the data in accordance with the UK's Data Protection legislation. We do not under any circumstances pass on any details to any unauthorized third parties. Any information we hold about you is used solely for the purpose of improving the services we provide and by placing an order with The CV Clinic you consent to our processing and use of your personal data..
Payment
Payment for services is required with all orders. For your convenience we accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo), cheques and postal orders. Please do not send cash through the mail. Your credit/debit card will be debited at the time of order to ensure the card is valid and there is sufficient credit to cover payment.
Turnaround Times
First drafts of CVs and Letters are normally despatched within four working days from receipt; revisions are normally dispatched within two working days. This may take slightly longer during very busy periods. If you need to meet a specific deadline, please contact us before placing your order.
Every effort is made to ensure a fast and reliable service. The CV Clinic cannot be held responsible for delays incurred through using postal or other data transmission systems, or through the actions of any third parties.
Right to Cancel
Once an order has been accepted by us it is not possible to cancel it. That is to say, we are unable to grant refunds for orders which have been accepted and for which service has commenced. Specific items on an order which are not prepared until a completed order is despatched may be cancelled whilst an order is still in progress and before they have been prepared.
The right to cancel as defined in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 DOES NOT apply as all our goods are clearly “made to your specifications or personalised for you”.
Cancellations for Personal Career Counselling and Workshops (Interview Skills Training and Career Audit & Marketability Assessments) made less than two working days before the scheduled session time will incur a cancellation charge of £95.00 (this covers non-refundable charges incurred on your behalf including venue charges and, where appropriate, preparation of psychometric reports).
Satisfaction Guarantee
All CVs and Letters will be revised / re-drafted free of charge until you are totally satisfied and request despatch of your completed order. Once an order has been despatched, if any further changes are subsequently requested, an ‘update’ charge will be incurred. Notwithstanding the above we specifically disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of the services provided.
Limitation Of Liability
Our liability is limited for losses that were not foreseeable to both parties when any contract was made, for losses that were not caused by any breach on our part and for business losses and/or losses to non-consumers. It is limited for loss of data, loss of profits, cost of cover, or other special, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive damages however caused and regardless of theory of liability. This limitation will apply even if we have been advised of, or are aware of, the possibility of such damages.
Furthermore, nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our agents or employees.
Complaints
Complaints must be made in writing by post, fax or email. We endeavour to respond to complaints within 24 hours (working days only) from receipt. Should a complaint not be resolved to your satisfaction, we welcome arbitration from a respected and mutually agreed independent third party.
Governing Law
This contract is written with the sole jurisdiction of the English courts and according to English Law.
